Inside the Front Door

It has been ages since I first started this blog, and barely posted. My apologies, the lovely weather kept us more than busy working in, on, and around the house. Now that the weather is cooler, I'm hoping to start updating on a more regular basis.

Now, on to the entryway!
It's not much to see, with the peeling wallpaper exposing the original drywall behind it.

The metal security door is on the left, and it opens up to the  kitchen.  This doorway was re-framed at some point, and will need sizing down to fit the original door back in.  We found one extra door in the basement, and have decided that it must have belonged here.

The door to your right is an example of what all the interior doors in the house are like.  Most still have fully functioning hardware.  This one opens to the dining room.
We are only living in the upstairs currently, and once you see the rest of the 1st floor you will understand why.

I have lots of demolition photos to show, and I will probably have several posts dedicated to demo.
